One of the most gratifying things to see as parents is your child succeed. It can be troubling when your child displays a lack of progress in certain areas of the curriculum and their development.
Dyslexia affects phonological processing; the ability to identify and say individual sounds in words. These sounds might be jumbled in words. Sequencing can also be affected such as numbers, months of the year, days of the week and so on.
Alongside regular primary tutoring, I offer dyslexia specialist teaching. All teaching sessions include structured, multisensory activities aimed at developing confidence and a sense of metacognition, so your child starts to understand how they learn.
It is not absolutely necessary for your child have a formal diagnostic report to request dyslexia tutoring; they may show signs of literacy difficulties that you are concerned about and would like support with. Please contact me if you would like to discuss the concerns you may have.
If you are a school and would like to use my services, please get in touch.
